Amelia Ochoa started playing the piano at age 5 and has loved it ever since. She recently graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Arts in music specializing in classical piano with a Spanish minor.
Amelia’s love for expressing herself through music grew at Belmont with the support of her teacher, Dr. Kristian Klefstad. She hopes to provide a similar source of encouragement and empowerment to her students to help them achieve all of their musical goals, whether that be to play their favorite pop song or a sonata. Having played piano from the age of 5 and taught young children, she knows the importance of crafting a learning experience unique to the personalities and interests of all her students. At Belmont, she accompanied instrumentalists, vocalists, and the university wind ensemble, and tutored music students in aural skills.
She also had the opportunity to study piano at the Brevard Summer Institute and abroad at Queen’s University Belfast.
