Teaching philosophy: I believe music is healing and it should always be a fun and uplifting experience! I strive to make the lessons very fun/enjoyable, while also encouraging and building upon your strengths/weak spots, so you can successfully reach your goals! I typically start students out with "The Suzuki Method." It provides a very solid foundation to build upon. This is a great starting spot to help you get familiar with the instrument, if you are just starting out! I also focus on developing your ear, teaching you how to play with other people, incorporating ear training exercises/games into the lesson, and teaching you how to read music. Whether you are interested in learning popular music, bluegrass music, Irish, Classical, or whatever genre it may be - I will help you reach your goals...AND have tons of fun while doing it!
