Preschool/PreK piano and voice lessons at Cason Children's Center!
The Chewning School of Music & Arts comes to Cason on Mondays to offer piano and voice lessons to those students ages 3 and up. Studies have shown that children who study music at a young age have higher IQ's, enhanced creativity, and increased focused.
Two books are used....a pre-reading book and a writing book. There is a CD in the lesson book that provides a lot of fun at home, and emphasizes the topics we have covered in the lesson. Once your child has signed up, a link to purchase the two books will be sent to you.
There is no registration fee. Monthly fees are $115 for private lessons. The instructor, Sarah Clucas, a Belmont graduate, has worked with preschoolers for many years, and currently teaches music classes at Cason on Tuesday mornings. Sarah's gentleness and encouraging style enable her to work well with young children.
On lesson day, your child will be picked up at their classroom and taken to their lesson. During the lesson, your child will discover new concepts about music and the piano that are fun and relatable. (For example...worms are “short sounds” and snakes are “long sounds”). Their progress will be checked, and new concepts taught.
