Preschool/PreK piano lessons....right here at Primrose!
The Chewning School of Music & Arts comes to Primrose on Mondays to offer piano lessons to those students ages 3 and up. Studies have shown that children who study music at a young age have higher IQ's, enhanced creativity, and increased focused.
There is no registration fee. Monthly fees are $125 for private lessons, and $75 for group classes. The instructor, Sarah Love, a graduate of Lee University, has worked with preschoolers for ten years. She began piano study as a preschooler herself! Sarah's gentleness and encouraging style enable her to work well with young children.
On lesson day, your child will be picked up at their classroom and taken to their lesson. During the lesson, your child will discover new concepts about music and the piano that are fun and relatable. (For example...worms are “short sounds” and snakes are “long sounds”). Their progress will be checked, and new concepts taught.
Do you have questions? If so, please contact Michelle Chewning at 615.330.2800 or [email protected]. Michelle, the owner of the music school, has taught for 29 years, and was the piano instructor at Primrose until earlier this year. She has extensive experience working with preschoolers.
